Hi, I’m Lindsay, a Registered Psychologist with a Bachelors of Science in Psychology and Masters of Counselling, in Counselling Psychology. I have over 10 years of counselling experience.
I understand that trauma can steal your joy and ability to connect with people in meaningful ways. I have years of experience helping clients process and heal from horrific life events including physical, sexual, and emotional abuse. I understand that trauma can make it really hard, if not impossible, to have healthy relationships and a healthy sex life. I am passionate about helping my clients heal from their trauma and build the healthy and fulfilling relationships and sex life they want.
I have specialized training in trauma interventions. This means I have specifically skills and knowledge that help me help you heal from your experiences. This could mean that we find ways to decrease the emotional intensity of the event or create new meaning around it. I am also currently pursuing certification as a Couples and Sex Therapist through the Sexual Health Alliance. This means I have specialized knowledge and skills in how to build and maintain healthy relationships as well as a happy and fulfilling sex life. It also means I have special training in how to work with pain during sex, peri-menopause and menopause, and erectile challenges.
I have heard my clients say: It’s not that bad, someone else has it worse. Your experience matters. You are carrying heavy emotions, and you deserve to get help and feel supported through whatever you are going through.
